Alice in Wonderland

On Sunday, I went to the movies and watched the 3D version of Tim Burton's "Alice in the wonderland". The movie is quite beautiful and the story interesting, but there were some things I didn't completely like. Pehaps we shouldn't have spent so much money on 3D, it looked as if it was adapted and not original, I definitely didn't like the 3D effects. The plot was slow at some points, but since I had never seen or read anything about Alice (believe it or not) I enjoyed the first experience. *** Domingo fui ver a versão 3D do filme de Tim Burton "Alice no país das maravilhas". O filme é bem bonito e a estória interessante, mas não gostei de algumas coisas. Talvez a gente não deveria ter gastado tanto dinheiro no 3D, parecia uma adaptação e não algo original, definitivamente não gostei dos efeitos de 3D. Algumas partes eram um pouco lentas, mas como eu nunca tinha visto ou lido sobre Alice (acredite se puder) gostei da minha primeira vez :)

London

Here are some pictures from the great city of London. It was our last destination. The city is wonderful, the people quite mixed and the weather typically cold. I so want to go back there! This is my favourite picture of all, the little dove flying in the middle caught my attention and forever will I remember London as this free of judgment place :) *** Aqui temos algumas fotos da grande cidade de Londres. Foi nosso último destino. A cidade é maravilhosa, há uma mistura de pessoas e o clima tipicamente frio. Quero muito ir lá denovo! Essa é minha foto favorita, a pomba voando no meio chamou minha atenção e para sempre vou me lembrar de Londres como um lugar livre de julgamento das pessoas :)

London Eye. It's a huge Ferris Wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames. It was a bit expensive for me at the time, but I managed to ride once. It was slow and the view of the Parliament and all central London was fantastic. I highly recommend it! *** London Eye. É uma roda gigante super grande, situada próxima ao Rio Tâmisa. Foi um pouco cara pra mim na época, mas andei nela uma vez. É bem lenta e a visão do Parlamento e do centro de Londres é fantástica. Recomendo muito!

The Big Ben and the Parliament. The day was a bit foggy (as usual in London), but we could see just fine the places and things. But the sky looks pretty scary... *** Big Ben e Parlamento. O dia estava um pouco nebuloso (normal em London) mas podíamos ver normalmente as coisas. Mas o céu estava assustador...

Typical British pub. Drinking a Guinness, having fun! The place had this environment that invited you to drink another one, and another....pretty cool! *** Típico pub inglês. Tomando uma Guinness, me diverindo! O lugar tem essa atmosfera que convida a tomar mais uma, e outra... bem legal!

Picture taken in Covent Garden. The place is like a fair, there are all sorts of things to buy.*** Foto tirado no Covent Garden. Este lugar é tipo uma feira, tem todo tipo de coisa para se comprar.

The only thing I could afford was some very cute soap, totally different from what I had ever seen. *** A única coisa que eu pude comprar foi uns sabonetes muito fofos, totalmente diferente do que eu já havia visto na vida.

Rome

I'm still posting pictures of the 2008 trip. These are just a few of them. The one above is from the well-known Fontana Di Trevi. It was raining a lot and we thee had to buy umbrellas, mine was the most collorful :) I made a wish, but I really don't remember what it was....hehehe. Quite crowded but very beautiful. *** Vou continuar postando fotos da viagem de 2008. Acima está a bem conhecida Fontana Di Trevi. Estava chovendo muito e nós três tivemos que comprar guarda-chuvas, o meu era o mais colorido :) Fiz um pedido, mas eu realmente não me lembro o que pedi....hehehe. Bem cheio de gente mas muito bonito.

Colosseum from outside. Very large structure, meant to be seen by as many people as possible as far as possible. A place every tourist in Italy must get to know! *** Coliseu visto de fora. Estrutura bem grande, feita para ser vista pelo máximo de pessoas o mais distante possível. Um lugar que todo turista tem obrigação de ir!

The place is in very bad condition, quite run-down, but everything makes sense when you discover it was built before Christ...Really impressive, grand! *** Coliseu visto de dentro. O lugar está em más condições mas isso faz sentido quando se descobre que foi construído antes de Cristo... Realmente impressionante, grandioso eu diria!

This is the Sistine Chapel ceiling. We couldn't actually take pictures, but we're sneaky, so we did it anyway! Astonishing and incredibly well preserved, one could doubt its perfection! *** Este é o teto da Capela Sistina. Na realidade, não pode tirar fotos lá, mas como somos sorrateiras tiramos assim mesmo! Surpreendente e incrívelmente bem preservado, dá até para duvidar de tanta perfeição!

Venice

Since the last post was about my trip to Europe, I decided to post some other pictures about the other places we visited after Paris. We took a plane from Paris to Bergamo, Italy. Then, after lots of adventures we finally got the train in Brescia to go to Venice. The trip was the worst of my life, the trains were completly ran down, old and packed :( seriously, really awful. *** Já que o último post foi sobre minha viagem para Europa, decidi postar mais fotos dos outros lugares que visitamos depois de Paris. Pegamos um vôo que nos deixou em Bergamo, Itália. Depois de muitas aventuras finalmente pegamos um trem em Brechia para Veneza. A viagem foi a pior da minha vida, os trens estavam acabados, velhos e lotados :( horrível, de verdade. After all the suffering to get there, it was worth it after all. This was us sightseeing near the famous Bridge of Sighs. It's known as the first building built specifically to work as a prison, the condemned would cross the bridge sighing because of the fate that lied ahead of them. *** Depois de todo sofrimento para chegar lá, valeu a pena no fim das contas. Essa foto é da famosa Ponte dos Suspiros. Conhecida por ser o primeiro prédio construido especificamente para ser uma prisão, os condenados atravessavam a ponte suspirando por causa do futuro que os esperava. This is Carol, my oldest and best friend. We haven't seen each other much lately, but it feels like she's my sister and for sure she feels the same. I miss you dearly, wish we could meet up more often. Love you! *** Essa é Carol, minha melhor amiga e mais antiga também. Não temos nos visto muito ultimamente, mas parece que ela é minha irmã e com certeza ela também acha isso. Sinto muito sua falta, queria que nos encontrássemos mais. Te amo! So cold, I wouldn't be able to live in such a place. It even snowed the next morning. By the time of the picture I was already missing my hot Brazil :) *** Tão frio, nunca conseguiria viver num lugar assim. Até nevou na manhã seguinte. Na hora dessa foto eu já estava sentindo falta do meu Brazil quente :)

Paris

I woke up feeling a little strange this morning, missing things from long ago. This is why I decided to post some pictures of a trip taken with two friend, Carol and Grazzi. I don't think I'm going to be travelling any time soon, maybe acknowledging that is what is making me a little sad :( ***************** Acordei hoje me sentido meio estranha, sentindo falta de coisas de tempos atrás. Por isso decidi postar algumas fotos de uma viagem que fiz com duas amigas, Carol e Grazzi. Acho que não vou viajar tão cedo, talvez por isso eu tenha ficado meio tristinha :(

New Year's in Paris was a huge successs, drinking the best champaign ever... It was the fanciest celebration a person like me could ask for, I would easily do it again :)

Leury

I want you all to meet Leury. This is my boyfriend's family's dog. As you reader already know Namoras and his family travelled this weekend, there wasn't anybody to look after him so I was asked to do so. This is the smartest, cutest and quietest dog ever, I so love him. I think this was kind of a practice, I still wish to have one of my own :) He slept with me (yes, in my bed) and kept me company through one of the worst migranes I can remember. Leury, the super-dog!

Quero que conheçam Leury. Este é o cachorro da família do meu namorado. Como você leitor já deve saber, Namoras e cia viajaram no fim-de-semana e como não havia outra pessoa, fui eu a escolhida para cuidar dele. Esse é o cachorro mais inteligente, fofo e quieto do mundo, adoro ele. Acho que foi meio um treino, ainda quero ter o meu :) Ele dormiu comigo (sim, na minha cama) e me fez companhia durante uma das piores dores de cabeça que eu consigo me lembrar. Leury, o super-cão!

Wine

This is one of those pictures that one should be proud of taking (Namoras did it). It was taken in Buenos Aires, last September, 2009. Namoras and I went there for a 4-day holiday and we had so much fun! This particular wine was served in a restaurant called "Siga la vaca", you pay a fixed price and eat as much as you can and the drink you can choose among diverse beverages, off course I chose the wine, which for my happiness was one bottle per person :) I think I really could go for one of those right now... ;)

Essa foto é uma daquelas que deve-se orgulhar de tê-la tirado (Namoras que tirou). Foi tirada em Buenos Aires, Setembro passado. Eu e Namoras lá estivemos para um feriado de 4 dias e foi muito divertido! Esse vinho da foto era servido num restaurante chamado "Siga la vaca", você paga um valor fixo e pode comer o quanto quiser e também escolhe uma bebida dentre várias opções, claro que eu escolhi o vinho, que para minha alegria era uma garrafa por pessoa :) Acho que poderia tomar um desses agora mesmo... ;)

Santa Teresa

Santa Teresa is a small city near Vitória, the weather is usually milder than the in the capital. It was where Namoras and I first travelled together to, ten months ago. The trip was fantastic, and just last month we went back there again and it was even better.

Well, my dear beloved Namoras is going back to Santa Teresa with his family this weekend. It's just a weekend, I know, but I'm going to miss him more than one can ever imagine. What cheers me up is that he will be back on Monday, and life will be colourful again ;-)

Santa Teresa é uma cidade pequena perto de Vitória, o clima geralmente é mais ameno do que na capital. Foi para onde meu Namoras e eu viajamos juntos pela primeira vez, dez meses atrás. A viagem foi fantastica, e mês passado nós voltamos lá e foi ainda melhor.

Bom, meu querido amado Namoras vai viajar pra lá com a família dele neste fim de semana. Eu sei que é só um fim de semana, mas vou sentir mais saudade dele do que se pode imaginar. O que me anima é que ele volta Segunda e então a vida volta a ser colorida novamente ;-)

I'm curious.

I'm curious. I need to know everything. If I don't get to know what's going on I feel as if I'm left out, alone. I wonder if it is really curiosity, I think it might be something else...It's more a need to fit in, to be a part of things, maybe even more, to be useful because if you know things people come to you. But that doesn't always work, I often get angry because people don't seem to understand this constant need to know and avoid sharing. It also doesn't work when people think I'm just interested because of future gossip, just to make it clear, it's hardly ever because of that!

Sou curiosa. Preciso saber de tudo. Se eu não souber o que está acontecendo me sinto com se estivesse excluída, sozinha. Imagino se é realmente curiosidade, acho que pode ser algo mais... É mais uma necessidade de me encaixar, de ser parte, talvez ainda mais, ser útil porque se você sabe das coisas as pessoas vêm até você. Mas nem sempre é assim, fico chateada porque as pessoas não entendem essa necessidade constante de saber e então elas evitam compartilhar. Também não funciona quando as pessoas acham que meu interesse pelos diversos assuntos tem como razão fofocas futuras, mas só para explicar, raramente é esse o motivo!

Mezzo

The egg, finally! My cute Namoras wanted to fool me but I was smarter. We were playing about the flavour of the egg and he was sure I would never guess even with all his clues (which were terrible, btw), then I suddenly guessed that it was a Mezzo which I think means half in Italian and he got all awkward and showed me that I had guessed right. lol...Delicious and fantastic, wish everybody could taste it!

O ovo, finalmente! Meu querido Namoras tentou me enrolar mas eu fui mais esperta. Estávamos brincando sobre o sabor do ovo e ele tinha certeza que eu nunca adivinharia, mesmo com todas as dicas dele (que eram terríveis, a propósito), aí do nada eu advinhei que era um Mezzo, acho que significa metade em italiano, aí ele ficou todo sem graça e me mostrou o ovo e que eu estava certa! Delicioso, fantastico; adoraria se todos pudessem experimentar!

Thank you Namoras....You rule!

Square egg..

Well, I know it's not Easter Sunday yet, but I couldn't resist! Last night I gave my namoras his square egg....he got so excited!!! I loved seeing him that happy, that was the idea in the first place! My turn to show my fantastic egg is yet to come :) *** Bem, eu sei que ainda não é domingo de Páscoa, mas não pude resistir! Ontem a noite entreguei o ovo quadrado pro meu namoras....ele ficou tão animado!!!! Adorei ver como ele ficou feliz afinal essa foi a idéia inicial! Minha vez de mostrar meu ovo fantástico ainda vai chegar :) rsrs

The book of Eli

What a great movie! I really liked it, it's religious in a very different way... I had never thought of things like that....Can't say much because it would spoil the end for the ones who will actually see it. I highly recommend this movie... *** Que filme bom! Adorei, é meio religioso de uma maneira bem diferente.... Nunca tinha pensado nessas coisas dessa maneira... Não posso falar muito para não estragar o filme. Recomendo mesmo este filme...

The picture above was Gabriella's and she showed to me last class, I couldn't stop laughing, love it!

What a buzy day I had yesterday! Sorry but I didn't have time to write here, and that was due to a doctor's appointment. I found out that I might have to wear braces again in order to maybe finally get rid of my headaches....yey...The Friday after tomorrow will bring the result of my endless quest and eventually lead a better and healthier life!

Today is a holiday for schools therefore no work for me! What can one do and fully enjoy the beauty of freedom?? Well, I'll hang out with my best friend Renata and her cute daughter,

which is always good to catch up and think together about the values of life!

Even after getting a very unexpected chocolate egg (I got as happy as a little child), I'm so looking forward to receiving my chocolate egg from Namoras...specially now that his favourite won BBB, now everything looks good for Sunday!!!

Que dia corrido foi ontem! Desculpa mas não consegui escrever aqui, foi porque tive uma consulta médica. Descobri que provavelmente vou usar aparelho denovo, tudo para talvez consegui ficar livre dessas terríveis dores de cabeça que a tanto me acompanham. Sexta que vem vou descobri se finalmente colocarei um fim nesta busca interminavel e finalmente consegui levar a vida de maneira melhor e mais saudável!

Hoje é feriado nas escolas, portanto não trabalho também. O que fazer para aproveitar por completo a liberdade? Bom, eu vou me encontrar com minha melhor amiga Renata e sua filha fofa para botar em dia os papos e pensar na vida...

Mesmo tendo recebido um ovo completamente inesperado ontem (que me fez feliz como uma criancinha), estou ansiosa para ganhar o ovo do Namoras... principalmente depois que o favorito dele ganhou o BBB, agora tudo parece perfeito para o Domingo!
